No more debit card fee for 12 airlines

According to the Office of Fair Trading, twelve airlines, among which are easyjet and Ryanair, will not have extra debit card fees on their online booking.

After the investigation conducted by the Office of Fair Trading, they concluded that it not right for travelers to have surprises by the end of the booking procedure with extra payment to the debit card.

This has stopped for easyjet and Ryanair, whereas the other companies have made announcements that this practice will stop on the first of August.

The companies entitled to change their booking policy are, Aer Lingus, BMI Baby, Eastern Airways, easyJet, Flybe, German Wings, Jet2, Lufthansa, Ryanair, Thomas Cook, Thomson (TUI) and Wizz Air.
