Newport Passport office closure is under discussion

Welsh Secretary Cheryl Gillan stated that she is opposed to the closure of the Newport Passport Office and she added that such a movement would lead many people to unemployment. She declared that she absolutely understands the need of cutbacks in public spending but the shutting the Newport passport office is not inevitable, she claimed.

18-year old boy accused of petrol bombing on Rashakarin Orange

An 18-year-old man has been accused of petrol bombing in County Antrim in the summer, July, 6. Moreover, the accusations are connected to arson and owning and throwing petrol bombs. The boy, whose origins are from Rashakarin, is expected to present at North Antrim Young Court on Tuesday, 26th of October 2010.

Two deaths on Saturday night in Country Antrim

A 33-year-old mother of three children was killed on Saturday night by her husband. Her body was found by the police at their home. Her husband’s body was found later on and it is believed that he committed suicide after his wife murder. Further investigations are held to figure out the cause of the crime.

Urgent landing for a BA jumbo jet

The Boeing 747 which took off from Heathrow airport destined to New York made an emergency landed in October 2. Eleven minutes after its departures was forced into immediate landing as the pilot found out that one of the doors was not safely closed. Additionally, residents noticed that the aircraft was flying very low.

Tragic death for father and son

Colin Rafferty, 51, and his son Keir, 15, lost their life at night of September,  when their bike hit trees.  The cause of the accident remains unknown. Brenda Rafferty was deeply emotional while she was talking about her lost husband and son. Local residents, friends and acquitants of the family sent their condolescents to relatives.
