Clegg’s hopes of reforming the House of Lords are halted

Everything started a century ago, when Nick Clegg’s Liberal predecessors, wanted to reform the House of Lords. However, this trying now has stopped after the rebellion of 91 Tory MP’s against the measures.

David Cameron confronted the leader of the Tory rebellion outside the House of Commons division, because it came clear that the loyal Tory MP’s were determined to express their opposition to the reform.

Later on, one of the Tory rebellions, said that David Cameron’s behaviour was ‘disgraceful’, while in the same time he said that Jesse Norman, the leader of the rebellions, is a good man and was the right thing to do to leave the room.

However, despite the fact that now the House of Lords could participate in the elections of 2025, they cannot because the prime minister could now pass the new program notion id order to help them take part in the elections.
