Five Britons missing after the avalanche in Mont Blanc

It was five in the morning when the climbers decided to climb up Mount Maudit –meaning ‘cursed peak- in Mount Blanc in France.

Despite the fact that there was no announcement or danger of an avalanche, they are missing and the authorities do their best find them. Colonel Bertrand Francois, commander of the Haute-Savoie gendarmerie, said of the missing people: “This does not mean that they are under the avalanche but we are extremely concerned for their safety.”

The climbers who decided to do this were a team of 28 people, all tied to each other, from different parts of the world. Now, however, the five Britons are missing along with the two Spaniards, who decided to be part of the expedition.
