More money on insurance after the rainfalls

UK householders are going to pay more on home insurance after the disaster they faced due to heavy rainfall these days.

The Association of the British Insurers say, that after the disasters in Britain, the government and the insurance industry are going to act differently on the money they charge for insurances. Those who live in high risk regions, are going to pay a cap on premiums, which is going to be paid by the government.

However, this treaty is still on, until the 30th of June 2013, and after that if it is not check again, many people will have to face the possibility of not having their insurances renewed.

According to a government spokesman: “We have not yet arrived at an agreement, but discussions with the insurance industry continue to be constructive and we are working together to reach a solution that is practical and affordable for households. We’re mindful of those on lower incomes living with the risk of flooding. That’s why we’re considering ways to keep flood insurance affordable for those who might struggle most with premium increases.”
