The Temple of Apollo Epicurius, Bassae

Another archaeological site that one really must not miss, this temple is located in Oichalia, a town in the northeastern part of Messenia. It is seen as especially important because the building is amazingly well-preserved, not always the case when speaking of sites  built almost 2,500 years ago. It served as the Temple of Apollo Epicurius and dates back to the mid-to-late 5th century BC.
